I am 34 years old and single. I am originally from S.E. Kansas, but I now live in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Up until the end of 1999, I was never really into photography. Over the years, I took the usual travel & vacation photos with cheap 35mm SLR cameras. In October of 1999 (after several months of reading Digital Camera reviews), I purchased my first digital camera, the Nikon Coolpix 950.

I wanted a digital camera because I had a job where I was traveling all over the US and I wanted the convenience a Digital Camera offered over a film camera. It was March this year when I discovered online photo contests. I became interested in the contests and entered a few of my Digital Photos. On May 4th this year, I won my first POTD and I have been hooked like a fish every since.

I recently purchased a Nikon CP990 and an Eagle Eye 5x Optical Zoom Lens to enhance my Digital Photography experience, it should be a lot of fun and I am looking forward to breaking them in. Digital Photography has became a huge hobby for me and I seem to always be looking for that next great shot, although it usually only comes around 1-2 times per every 100+ shutter clicks. Unless it is Lightning, then make it
1000 shutter clicks - LOL!

Out of being addicted to Digital Photography, I have made many new friends over the Internet and have actually got together with them on a few occasions. We have taken photos together and had lots of fun doing so.

I would like to thank my friends (you know who you are) for your ongoing critiques, tips and helpful hints that you give me on my photos. I feel that my photography has improved since I first started, but I still have a lot to learn. Please enjoy my photos - (I tried to pick photos that have never been seen on the Internet before.)
