Hi! I'm Noel, a
software engineer for a fiber optics telecommunications company by day. One of
my hobbies after hours is photography. I started many years ago with a Canon A1
35mm film camera, but a while back I moved up to the freedom, flexibility, ease
of use, and digital integration of a [then] state-of-the-art 0.8 megapixel
Olympus D-500L digital camera. The freedom of digital allowed me to rediscover
photography, and I upgraded to the new Olympus C-2500L 2.3 megapixel model
(shown here) in late 1999 for more features and resolution. Who knows what the
future will hold; the new 4 megapixel Olympus E-10 SLR is just around the
corner, the Canon D-30 is primo drool material, and of course there's that
formidable Nikon D1 already out there, setting new standards...
Since being a webmaster in the '80s, I have held a growing interest in digital
imaging. I used a scanner and Adobe Photoshop for many years, and I am delighted
that digital cameras have finally come of age. It is wonderful that nowadays
both affordable yet formidable high quality image capture equipment has become
available, and that a modern computer makes an excellent platform for a digital
darkroom!
You can find more of my work on display on the web at
http://members2.clubphoto.com/noel190777. I have also put some digital imaging
resource information together on my personal website, http://home.att.net/~ncarboni.
It's an honor to follow the fine folks who've showcased their wonderful work
here over the past weekends - Charlie, Rex, Carrie, Janet, Whitney, Tony,
Sherry, Celia, Janice - and all of the many daily winners. You've been a great
inspiration and I've learned a great deal from all of you!
Thanks a million, BestFoto, for creating and maintaining this fine site and the
chance to show off some of my stuff!
So, grab a cold drink, sit back, relax, and I hope you'll enjoy viewing these
images as much as I did making them. |
