I'm a
31-year-old stay-at-home mom of a 21-month-old boy. We have been
living in Fort Worth, Texas for the past 8 years. I'm originally
from Oklahoma City. Photography has been an interest of mine since I was
young but I didn't pursue it until January 2001 when I was given my first
digital camera. I've been hooked ever since. Shortly
thereafter, I purchased a Canon EOS D30. This is the camera I use
the most.
I enjoy
photographing just about everything, Nature, Macros, Animals, Portraits,
Black & White and Still Life. I also enjoy creating digital art
pieces from my photographs. The most satisfying to me is capturing a
certain moment or a certain expression, especially of my son. That's
why I'm very fond of "Catching Bubbles". I consider my work somewhat
traditional, although my sister Shelley Sanders has taught me how to be
more creative.
I hope to
put more time into my photography once my son is attending school.
But for now, I enjoy the days I do get to go shooting with my sister.
Although, we are competitive and we tend to push each other out of the way
to get the shot! UPDATE! The photo below "Rock Reflection" received
Honorable Mention in Popular Photography Magazine's Annual Picture Contest
and will appear in the January 2003 issue. |
